Approach to Problem-Solving
My process begins with a concise introduction to the problem at hand and its impact. I take a structured approach by prioritising areas to be actioned first and align on the project taking stock meetings to update the client.
Core Components
My mission-driven methodology centers around a "cockpit" that includes: Problem Summary and Impact. A clear overview of the issue, its consequences and agreed KPI targets.
Solution Road-map
Detailed steps to address setbacks and achieve resolution. The progress tracking via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of remediation measures and assess ongoing impact to solve the problem.
Data Sources
Using the clients standard datasets for my comprehensive evaluation, clustering of occurences, and derive the necessary actions.

Revitalizing the value chain with use of the Kanban methodology
Task
Localizing the clogged legacy products within the value chain. Visualizing the interaction in between the teams and dependency to external parties. Bi-weekly run of this analysis as discussion basis of the stand-up meeting
Solution
- Excel-tool which analyses adhoc output and visualizes a products progress on the value chain
- Saving timestamped Excel-tool analysis
- Updating the whiteboard and progress of legacy products on the value chain
- Increased efficiency and collaboration within the company
- More transparency on the sensitivities within the value-chain and dependency on external services
- Delivering the basis for discussion around the product-pipeline for the daily stand-up

Controlling of revenue contribution by employee (not FTE)
Task
Analyse the accounting for revenue per product sold by employee with respect to their workload
Solution
- Connection of several data-sources to perform the analysis in accordance to the employee contract, workload in the calendar and revenue generated
- Analysis of the revenue pipeline, which includes products sold and products deferred
- Indication if products were sold at the vertical maximum, meaning that additional products aside or following-up were wisely selected to maximize client satisfaction
Final result
- Standardized analysis methodology to track the course of business and the margin per employee
- Side-outcome was the testing of systems in-use/ processes for simplicity and efficiency

Remediation of cases, including knowledge transfer during the course of the project
Task
Assess every case and its requirements received; verify the rightfulness, gather the data, initiate the internal clearance with involvement of stakeholders and solve the cases
Solution
Aggregating requirements from project sponsor and internal experts necessary for a successful outcome; design of project outline in PowerPoint, definition of “successful outcome” as well as clustering of cases according to their needed path to solution.
Steps taken:
- Setup of a project cockpit of the cases received
- Screen the potential data to be used to answer
- Inform the data owner about the cases and the data to be disclosed
- Bring clarity on the necessity to collaborate on the cases as well as the resulting impact
Final result
- Replied to all cases with the internally-cleared solution; if necessary entered into a conference-call to clarify the issue within the bank as well as with the External Party, a fund manager or alike
- Reached a milestone as all cases answered with internally cleared
